This begins by considering the biblical foundations for sharing in God’s mission and then looks at a variety of aspects of mission, such as evangelism and social action, and a variety of ways in which mission can be undertaken.
This explores the biblical calling to preach and teaches skills in handling the Bible and preparing and delivering sermons. It also explores alternative ways of preaching, including a whole range of media and considers how our congregations learn.
This will help to reflect on and explore the core beliefs of our faith and develop skills to relate what we believe to the practice of mission and ministry. It will also consider a variety of moral and ethical issues. This also covers two modules.
This module explores how our Baptist history can inspire us and what it teaches about the ministry and mission of the church today. It also considers those principles that have shaped Baptist churches through the centuries.
