Farewell to Dr Pam Berry

Date: 20th Apr

It is with great fondness that Regent’s Park College prepares to say goodbye to Dr Pamela Berry, Stipendiary Lecturer and Director of Studies in Geography, who is leaving theCollege after almost four decades in post. Dr Berry would love for her former students to join her at Formal Hall to say goodbye.

“After 37 years at Regent’s, 31 of them as the Director of Studies for Geography, I have decided to relinquish my undergraduate teaching both here and at Mansfield. This is to enable me to focus more on my research before I finally retire as, despite publicised cuts in funding, I seem to have more work than ever.  In addition to my research on climate change, I am working on aspects of ecosystem services and have just added nature-based solutions to my portfolio.   I am also planning to start a more personal project, exploring the role of women in the Church.

I have very much enjoyed my time at Regent’s and I have had the privilege of tutoring just fewer than 100 geographers.  I would be delighted if some of you were able to come to Formal Hall and help make it a memorable occasion.”
