Biography:
1988-1999 World Council of Churches, Geneva: Director of Programmes for the churches response to humanitarian disasters and refugee concerns.
1999-2004 Deputy General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
2004 Regent’s Park College: Lecturer in Liturgy and Ecumenical studies.
2007 Regent’s Park College, Chaplain and Fellow in Worship and Pastoral studies
Teaching and research interests:
Director of the BTh programme and tutor for students training for the Baptist ministry.
Undergraduate teaching is in the area of liturgy with special interest in the ecumenical movement and its influence on the development of worship in the 20th century.
Research covers themes related to the Ecumenical Decade to Overcome Violence (2000-2010). Currently doing congregational research, using a restorative justice model, to critique the social and community outreach of six Baptist congregations.
Regularly speak and write on theological issues for the ecumenical movement.
