RLIRP is a collaborative international research network between a number of UK-based and international research centres for the study of the interplay between law, religion and international relations and between law and theology from both historical and contemporary perspectives.

It engages in original research, scholarly publications, domestic and international policy consultancy, conducts major international conferences both in the UK and abroad. RLIRP hosts visiting fellows, visiting doctoral scholars and offers teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate levels as well as CPD training for lawyers and policy makers. Members of RLIRP also edit the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion and are actively engaged in a number in international scholarly networks and advise governments and international organisations. RLIRP also convenes series of academic events nationwide on behalf of the All Party Parliamentary Group on International Freedom of Religion or Belief.
