08 Feb Day Conference: 360th Anniversary of the Re-Admission of Jews to Britain

On Saturday 12 March, from 10am to 5pm, the Centre for Baptist History and Heritage will host a day conference to mark the 360th anniversary of the re-admission of Jews to Britain. The morning will include papers on events of the seventeenth century, focusing on the Whitehall Conference of 1655, and the afternoon will concentrate on relations between Baptist Christians and Jews during the Nazi period in Europe. Papers will be given by Professor John Coffey, Professor John Briggs and Dr Larry Kreitzer, amongst others. The day should be of interest to any historians engaged in cultural studies.
