16 Nov Dr Barrie White, RIP
It is with great sadness that the College has learned of the death of former principal, Dr Barrie White, on Saturday 12 November. Dr White, a great scholar and historian of the English Separatist tradition, served as Principal from 1972-1989. This was a period of great development and expansion for the College, when Angus and Gould houses were built to provide additional accommodation (originally for married couples). Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr White’s wife, Margaret, and their family.
There will be a Thanksgiving Service at New Road Baptist Church, Oxford, on Monday 28 November at 12 noon, followed by a reception in College. If you plan to attend the reception after the service, please contact the Director of Development, Julie Reynolds, so that we can make the necessary arrangements for catering.
