From 15th - 23rd March, four of our most engaging and enthusiastic current students will be calling up Regent's alumni across the world, catching them up on College news, talking about their shared experiences of the Regent's community, and raising money to support the future of Regent's Park!

Meet our 2025 student callers!

Chelsea – Third Year, History (she/her)

Fun Fact: I absolutely love knitting and crocheting my own clothes; I can’t think of anything better than getting comfy and starting a new project!

Hobbies at Oxford: I’m going to be in play, ‘And Then There Were None’, and I’m part of societies such as ACS and The Law Society. I have also really enjoyed being one of the Regent’s Welfare Information Officers on the JCR Committee.

Why does alumni support matter?: Alumni support is important to ensuring that the College can continue to provide really amazing experiences to all Regent’s students.

Marcus – First Year, English Language and Literature (he/him)

Fun fact: I’m slightly crazy about cats and clothbound books.

Hobbies at Oxford: This year I’m (bravely) taking part in the Regent’s Christmas Panto, which should be a blast! Equally across Oxford I frequently attend Whosoc (Doctor Who Society) which is a delight, and a fantastic way to relax is the OULGBTQ pub night every Tuesday, aptly named ‘Tuesgays’!

Why does alumni support matter?: Regent’s alumni support is extremely important, because it allows former members of the community to give back to a place that nurtured them during such an important time; and any support helps the College to provide an even better experience for all those that come after! Basically, it makes sure that we’re all one big Regent’s community from across time and space!

Anusha Roy – First Year, Geography (she/her)

Fun Fact: I’ve debated in the UN headquarters.

Hobbies at Oxford: I love working behind the bar at Regent’s – it’s a great way to put a smile on people’s faces and represent the College! I am also in Oxford Geography Society and consult for Capitox.

Why does alumni support matter?: Alumni support really helps current and future students. It funds traditions like Brew, which bring the community together, and enables really important initiatives like the Hardship Fund, which ease financial stress for students. It means we can thrive both socially and academically.

Emma Parker – Third Year, History (she/her)

Fun Fact: I lived and went to school in New Zealand for 6 months!

Hobbies at Oxford: I was JCR President last year and have done little bits of drama, but at the moment I am focussed on my dissertation (about medieval monsters!)

Why does alumni support matter?: Alumni support allows us as students to have the best possible experience we can; it makes a massive difference in our academic life, social life, extra-curricular activities and much more!

What is a Connect-a-thon?

Connect-a-thons are a brilliant opportunity to connect current and former Regent’s students and to update you on College life, invite you back for exciting events, and to hear your news! Our students are really looking forward to connecting with you and are always fascinated to hear about the many, varied paths that Regent’s alumni take after College.

As we approach the centenary of Regent’s coming to Oxford, we now aim to formalise our place as a college of the University of Oxford and be granted a royal charter, whilst ensuring that the student experience at Regent’s continues to be the best it can possibly be. As we work towards this goal, every gift makes a huge difference to us, and we are deeply grateful for any level of support you can give.

You can read about what we are raising money for here and we hope that you will consider making a gift to a fund that is meaningful to you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Development Team if you have any questions!
