CLR is part of a collaborative international research hub between a number of UK-based and international research centres for the study of the interplay between law, religion and international relations and between law and theology from both historical and contemporary perspectives. CLR is the Secretariat of the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion, and the home of Law and Religion Oxford and the Oxford Society for Law and Religion. It engages in original research, scholarly publications, domestic and international policy consultancy, conducts major international conferences in the UK and abroad. CLR hosts visiting fellows, visiting doctoral scholars and offers teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as CPD training for lawyers and policy makers.
Members of CLR also edit the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion, convene the Oxford Law and Religion Seminar and are actively engaged in a number of international scholarly networks and advise governments and international organisations.
