The Emmanuelle Society
The Emmanuelle Society was established in honour of Regent's first ever and much loved College tortoise, Emmanuelle, to support the College Library.
The Library is a cornerstone of Regent’s life, which is used and treasured by countless members of the College community every day. Both the calm and scholarly – and warm and welcoming – space itself, open 24/7 to our students, and the many books within its shelves, are an invaluable resource for our community.
Joining the Emmanuelle Society is an incredible way to help support this important area of College, empower future generations of students and make your mark on Regent’s forever.
By making a gift of £450 to the College Library Endowment, you will become a member of the Emmanuelle Society for life and, as part of this, we will buy one book in your chosen subject area every year, in perpetuity. Each book will have a nameplate inside the front cover with your chosen inscription, and your name will be immortalised forever in the College’s Emmanuelle Society Book.
Your donation can of course be made in one lump sun, but if you would prefer to give over a longer period, you can also choose to set up a gift of £22.50 per month, lasting for 20 months.
In summary
- Give a minimum of £450 to the Regent’s Park College Library Endowment (either in a lump sum, or a monthly gift of £22.50 for 20 months.
- For every £450 invested, one book will be bought for the Library, forever – a nameplate will be placed inside the front covers.
- You will become a member of The Emmanuelle Society and your name will be added to the Emmanuelle Society Book.
