Fr Jarel Robinson-Brown is currently serving as a parish priest in the Diocese of London at St Botolph-without-Aldgate. Prior to this he served as Associate Chaplain at King’s College London.
He is an Honorary Canon of St Deiniol’s Cathedral, Bangor, Visiting Scholar at Sarum College, Salisbury and Co-Chair of the Global Christian LGBT+ Charity OneBodyOneFaith.
Currently undertaking doctoral studies at the University of Aberdeen with the Very Reverend Professor John Behr in Coptic Monasticism, his research area is Patristics with focuses on desire, the body and ethnicity in Late Antiquity. He has published in the area of trauma theology, queer theology, liberation theology and history.
From March 2024 he will be serving as Vicar of St German’s Church, Adamsdown in the Diocese of Llandaff. Jarel is committed to ensuring that communities are places of safety, vulnerability and justice and works for the full inclusion of the marginalised not only in the life of the Church, but in society.
