With great sadness we announce the death of the Right Reverend Dr Keith Riglin, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles and the Chair of our College Council and Governing Body, who passed away on the 24^th of September 2023. Bishop Keith came up to Regent’s to study theology and train for ordained ministry in 1980. His journey through life included periods in ministry within the Baptist Church and the United Reformed Church and teaching at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Jamaica. In 2008 he was ordained deacon and priest in the Church of England. He was appointed Chaplain of Kings College London in 2012, also serving at Assistant and Vice Dean prior to his consecration as Bishop in the Episcopal Church of Scotland in 2021.

Throughout, Keith held Regent’s close to his heart and has been a generous and dedicated friend of the College, serving also as a member, Deputy Chair and, from 2020, Chair of the College Governing Body. A man of passion and compassion, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his family, and all who will be deeply affected by this loss.
