Regent’s Park College is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Tim Middleton as Fellow in Theology and as the new Director for the Centre for Baptist Studies. Tim has doctorates in both science and theology and is particularly interested in developing ecotheology as a response to climate change, working, for example, with the Baptist Union Environmental Network. Tim brings experience in teaching both science and Christian doctrine in Oxford and other University settings, in generating funded research projects and in engaging in the intersection between Christian faith and public life. We look forward to the way he will help us develop our thinking in this key area of theology and practice and to working together to build on the work of Dr Chris Joynes in further developing the work of the Centre for Baptist Studies in the study of the past present and future. Dr Joynes will remain at Regent’s as Tutor in New Testament and Director of Studies for Theology and Religion students.
