Welcome New Fellow in Geography, Dr Katrin Wilhelm!

Date: 24/01/2025

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Katrin Wilhelm as our new Fellow in Geography, starting in September!

Dr Wilhelm is the first Fellow in Geography at Regent’s Park College, marking an exciting expansion of our academic community and an important step towards our mission to have a Fellow in every undergraduate subject that Regent’s offers.

Katrin is an interdisciplinary senior researcher, whose research spans geography, heritage science and preventative mental health, utilising ‘living laboratories’ such as built heritage, green spaces, and museums to develop innovative solutions for building, environmental and mental health. Her projects investigate how historic and modern environments enhance climate resilience, culture-led adaptation, and mental wellbeing through nature-based and socio-ecological approaches.

Katrin is also known to some as the ‘heads woman’ due to her long-standing interest (if not obsession) with the histories and mysteries of the Sheldonian Heads!

Katrin has been a Tutor in Geography at Regent’s since October 2023, and at the end of last year we celebrated her brilliant achievements with the Lab in Your Pocket (LIYP) initiative, which has recently been recognised with two prestigious awards.

We are delighted to have Katrin as our new Geography Fellow. Please join us in (re)welcoming her!
