New Baptist Histories Course starting September

Date: 3/04/2023

Regent’s Park College and the Department for Continuing Education are pleased to announce a new online short course module in Baptist history to start in September 2023.

The module will give an overview of the stories of Baptists from their beginnings in 1609 to the present day. Specific units will explore how Baptists engaged in mission, the role of women, responses to transatlantic slavery, and involvement in ecumenism.

The module will run under the auspices of the Centre for Baptist Studies and with the support of the Angus Library, held at Regent’s Park College. The Angus is a world-leading archive of Baptist related material. This course will give students the opportunity to work with some of its specific documents.

The course will run for 12 weeks. It will cost £650. It will be led by Dr Andy Goodliff, College Lecturer in Baptist History.
