I am a Senior Project Research Fellow at Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford, where I support the mandate of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief.

I have more than 15 years of experience in the practice of human rights, having worked with various NGOs and international organizations in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

I hold a Ph.D. in Human Rights and my interdisciplinary research focuses on the intersection of human rights, discrimination, and social justice, with particular attention to marginalised populations. I examine how structural and institutional inequalities perpetuate rights violations, and I aim to contribute both to academic debate and to evidence-based policy and advocacy. I have taught modules on researching human rights through social research methods, as well as on topics including measuring human rights, assessing human rights regimes, human rights impact assessments, and comparative case studies, at institutions such as the School of Advanced Study, University of London.

Across these roles, I work to connect scholarship with practice, advancing human rights education and advocacy.
My research interests include:

  • Freedom of religion or belief
  • Rights of women, children, minorities, migrants, and persons with disabilities
  • Labour rights, environmental law, and criminal law in relation to human rights
  • Discrimination, inequality, and the rights of marginalised populations
  • Human rights measurement and assessment, and social research methods
  • Human rights and social justice
