David Gregory is a Baptist Minister and Missioner for Science and Environment. A former president of the Baptist Union he has a background in meteorological and climate research and is convenor of BUEN – the Baptist Union Environmental Network. He serves on the grant board of Scientists in Congregations, part of Equipping Religious Leaders in an Age of Science based at Durham University and was also science-engaged-theological advisor to the recent “Science in the Baptist World” project at Regents Park College. He has worked with Messy Church and speaks in schools on science and faith with God and the Big Bang. David is the project lead of Entwined, looking to shape Christian discipleship that more fully accounts for the call to share in God’s mission to the whole of creation. David is interested in exploring experiential ways of inspiring people to share in God’s mission to the whole of creation, especially through visual media. His current research interest is in how the notion of covenant – expanded to include a relationship with creation along with God and others – might open up new insights into mission especially in engaging science and environmental issues.
