Truffle is Regent’s Park College’s beloved resident tortoise and unofficial mascot. With a shell of wisdom and a heart full of leafy greens, she brings calm, charm, and curiosity to the college community. Known for her rather speedy strolls across the quad, her ability to balance tomatoes on her head, and her large appetite for watermelon, Truffle has become a cherished companion to students and staff alike.

Responsibilities:

• Grazing gracefully and keeping the lawn in check
• Providing emotional support through her gentle presence
• Attending college events (when not napping)
• Intense training to climb through the ranks to become champion of The Tortoise Race
• Inspiring philosophical reflection on the nature of time and patience

Fun Fact: Truffle loves having the lower back of her shell scratched; doing so may provoke ‘happy butt wiggles’.
