The Centre for Baptist Studies produces an exciting variety of publications in Baptist history and Baptist theology, as well as a series of Baptist Festschrifts. In addition, the Centre publishes the annual Whitley lecture, and has recently begun a new series of congregational resources. Most of these volumes are available to order on demand from the links where shown below.

This new series of books is designed to support reflective practice for Baptist ministers and those in their congregations with the purpose of helping them in worship, discipleship and mission.

Voicing New Questions for Baptist Identity

edited by Eleasah P. Louis and Andy Goodliff (2023)

The Whitley Lecture was first established in 1949 in honour of W. T. Whitley (1861-1947). The annual lecture is designed as an encouragement to research and writing by Baptist scholars, and to enable the results of their work to be published. Since 2011 the Centre for Baptist Studies has been responsible for this publication on behalf of the Whitley Committee.

The Centre has been responsible for publishing several festschrifts in honour of Baptist scholars and theologians. In addition to highlighting the contributions these people have made to Baptist life, the books showcase contemporary Baptist thought covering a wide range of issues both ecclesial and public.
